First of all, I would like to apologize to my dear followers and clients for being late to write into my blog, but the reason is; that I am quite busy with my Italian lessons as I prepare to an important exam to obtain the Italian diploma “CELI”, as I am working now in Italian and I have my site “Guida Turistica Privata in Egitto.

The latest important event that I had was the Boot camp and closing ceremony of DW project in Egypt that I participated as an instant translator-interpreter in their workshops that were conducted in Aswan, Alexandria, Port said (this one was conducted in Cairo in Al Masry Al Youm newspaper).
The selected young female media graduated came from their different cities to meet together in Cairo in that boot camp with a higher skill that conducted in Al-Ahram newspaper, to discuss finishing a project of a media website.
Important professionals participated to inform them more…

Mr. Fady gave lectures about the importance of social media, and how can they sell themselves through Linkedin, and the importance of Twitter to communicate and to be more famous in their field.
Omar Mostafa, who gave lectures about dealing with Google and how to deal with their website.
Ahmed NOU NOU, a business consultant, who spoke about how to manage and run their own business.
Heba Kandil, who gave very important lectures about how to be positive with themselves and to develop their communication skills with others that completed what Ms.Maha shahba has developed.

In November was the closing ceremony of the DW academy project (more women voices), the day that all participants met with each other.
I would like to thank every one of them, I learned a lot of valuable lessons from each of them, and I spent a very nice time with them.
Basma El Ofy, Maha shahba, Soha Tarek, Heba Kandil, Tine Mikklis, Jens Uwe Rahe , Rasha EL Ibiary
And my dearest sweetheart Osama Asfour, who was the reason to engage me in this project as an instant translator-interpreter when he asked me to do this mission in Aswan.

This time, was different because DW Akademie (Deutsche Welle) was supposed to do its workshop in Port-Said city, one of the nicest Egyptian cities of the Suez Canal, which lies in northeast Egypt, north of the Suez Canal.
Port Said is considered the third economic city in Egypt after Cairo and Alexandria, food processing, chemical industries, cigarettes, and fishing are the bases of its economy. It is also a vital harbor to export Egyptian products such as rice & cotton, and a station for ships that pass through the Suez Canal.
It has tourist importance because it is a stop for ships that make quick trips to Cairo like “Costa cruising” ships, it has been a cosmopolitan city since its establishment by Said Pasha (one of the kings of the x royal family) in 1859; a lot of Mediterranean nationalities lived in it.
But at the last minute, it was decided to hold the workshop in Cairo, DW Akademie invited the participants to come to Cairo and the workshop was held at El Masry EL- youm (Egypt Today) newspaper that was established in 2004
On the fifth day, al Ahram (the pyramids) newspaper invited the teamwork, Coordinators, participants, and me as the consecutive interpreter-translator.

The visit to Al Ahram was really interesting as it was established in 1875, so it is a part of the modern history of Egypt.
It was much work for me this time because I was the only consecutive interpreter, Osama who used to share the mission of the consecutive interpretation with me, had another mission as he gave lectures about creativity to the participants.
I can tell that I am happy about my experience as a consecutive interpreter/translator and that I achieved important progress in it.

Instant translator with DW academy in Alexandria was my second experience with DW academy, last time, I interpreted the workshop that was in Aswan and I explained it already in my previous post (Oral interpreter in Egypt with DW Akademie)
Workshop by DW Akademie to develop the skills of Egyptian female media students and graduates.
This time the workshop was more alive and creative, because of Tine Mikliss, the responsible for the project in Egypt, in additional to what participants learned and practiced in Aswan, she invited Egyptian youth from Alexandria who had creative ideas and could struggle to make their project succeed and their ideas become facts.
Hossam-AbdelkaderHossam Abdelkader, the founder of the first on-line magazine in Alexandria (Amwague) in 1999
studied in Alexandria University, Worked at Bibliotheca Alexandrina and he is), he was a journalist, and then went to a conference in Germany in 1996, and he found the German journalists using their computers, he knew about computer and he realized that he must learn about internet and that a change must happen in Egypt, so he established the first on-line magazine, and then, he began to establish a local newspaper, although, he had financing problems, but it did not stop him, volunteers helped; now they have established a cultural club, and he is training students from Alexandria University.

Ahmed-EssmatAhmed Esmat, founder, director of “Alex agenda”, founder and CEO of “Alexandria media forum”, he studied at the faculty of commerce, English department, Alexandria Uni. Egypt

Omar-HatemOmar Hatem, founder of Café tram, CEO and founder of “Radio tram”, he is a teacher, studied at the faculty of arts, Alexandria University.

All of them, had new creative ideas, that seemed to be difficult to realize at the beginning, and all of them had a financing problems, what is good about it is that all of them profited out of volunteers (human resource).

The last day, DW akademie, invited local journalists from Alexandria, it was a good chance for the female participants to profit out of their experiences and also to practice all they have learned during the workshop (to present themselves in a good manner, to profit out of the elder journalists experience and to ask for a further contact (speed dating).
At the end, Tine matched every graduated girl with a monitor for 6 months to guide them.
DW akademie developing their project in Egypt, more workshops in different cities, and then, they will choose 2 participants from each city to join a higher level of a workshop.

DW akademie will have a big conference in Egypt in DECEMBER.

Personally, I thank Tine Mikliss “the German manager of the project”, and I thank Rasha elibiari “the Egyptian responsible”, and of course, Osama Asfour “Project Coordinator”, the first who found me through my private tour guide website and had a contact with me to ask me to do the mission of the instant translator with him.

Oral interpreter in Egypt with DW Akademie is my new experience, it all began when Osama Asfour, the “project coordinator, Egypt Deutsche Welle Akademie” contacted me throw my web site, and asked me to accept the mission of the oral interpreter in Egypt with DW Akademie, I accepted his offer, it was a new experience for me especially when he sent me the Agenda and I could read the interesting subjects that I will get the chance to know more about and to translate.

The experience was unique and very interesting, I moved to Aswan, and asked him to let me meet the persons whom I am supposed to interpret with them.
I met Consrtanze Abratzky and Tine Mikliss, they were friendly and helpful and they could break the ice, they explained that DW Akademie is a German official association, 50 years old and it has a TV channel that we could compare it with the BBC.
The project calls
